Alice E. Stanton

Dr. Alice Stanton is working to get better treatments for neuro disease through new approaches to drug development. 

​

She was named a Rising Star in Engineering in Health by Johns Hopkins and Columbia University and a Rising Star in Chemical Engineering by MIT. She is an NIA Ruth L. Kirschstein NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow and Kavanaugh Fellow in Robert Langer's world renowned laboratory at MIT. 

Previously she has worked at Genentech in the department of Biochemical and Cellular Pharmacology, she received her PhD in Bioengineering from Stanford University, BSE in Chemical Engineering from Princeton, and worked at Rockefeller University with Marc Tessier-Lavigne.

She is a speaker on her research, design thinking, women in STEM, navigation of careers and education, and leadership and personal skills development. She loves talking to ambitious young women and passionate start up founders. She passionate about improving professional development at early stages and breaking down barriers to individuals' success. She is the founder of non-profit Future Chats, Inc. and its foundational program STEMxx Chats, aiming to create a world where more people can flourish in their professional and personal lives and gain the inspiration and confidence early in life to prioritize positive impact and ethical leadership.
